2026 DFFL3 AOM

Feb 8, 2026

Attending Owners: Brian, Rob, David, Mike, Garts, Mark, Sabu, Chad, Clay, Ryan

Non-Attending Owners: Mini

Commissioner stated that Mini (Micheal Garton) was returning to the DFFL3 to take over Fred’s team, and that Clay Brooks would be taking over Rhonda’s team and that there were 2 re-tabled issues from the 2025 AOM.

1 – Should we add the QB position to the .5/rush stat?

Yes: Chad, Brian, Mark, Rob, Sabu, Clay

No: Ryan, Mike, David, Garts

Non-Voters: Mini

QB position will be added to the .5/rush stat effective immediately on a 1-year trial period

2 – The Commissioner mentioned that we needed to discuss switching to Sleeper again, with the same parameters as the previous time we discussed this (Commissioner would get 1 year of website costs for switching the league over to Sleeper). The Commissioner discussed some finances and asked if we should continue to pay out records annually and/or increase league fees instead/as well. After a discussion, the votes ended up as:

Switch to Sleeper: Ryan, Mike, Mark, David, Garts

Stay with MFL: Chad, Brian, Rob, Sabu, Clay

Non-Voters: Mini

The proposal does not pass, and because it has been discussed 2 years in a row, it will not be re-tabled, although it can be proposed again. We will stay with MFL until someone proposes again

The Commissioner opened the floor for new business:

3 – The Commissioner started a discussion about finances which revealed that because the website costs have increased so much and so rapidly, that he spent money out of his pocket to run the D3 this season and offered up some options that would remedy that problem.

Stop paying records & increase fees by $5: Chad, Brian, Ryan, Rob, Clay

Stop paying records, no increase and revisit next season:

Keep paying records & increase fees by $5:

Stop paying records, switch to Sleeper: Mike, Mark, David, Garts

Non- Voters: Mini, Sabu

Since the owners couldn’t come to an agreement and I am not paying money out of my pocket again this season, I have decided to not pay records this season, leave the league fees as is ($70) and revisit next season and see if just not paying records is what will help

4 – The Commissioner advised that an owner in a league complained about how I do the tie-breaking for final standings. I currently do it the CFL way which is a combination of H2H & point differential. The suggestion was brought up to do it the way Sleeper does it and ONLY use PF to determine playoff seeds etc. I offered up the decision to the owners.

Keep using the CFL method: Chad, Brian, Ryan, Mark, Rob, Sabu, Clay

Use the Sleeper method: Mike, David, Garts

Non-Voters: Mini

Commissioner will continue to use the CFL method

5 – Mike proposed that we tweak the scoring a little and change RB/WR from HPPR to FPPR as well as alter the TE from 2/rec to 1.5/rec. After a lengthy discussion, the following options were voted on:

RB/WR to go from HPPR to FPPR & TE goes from 2/rec to 1.5/rec: Chad, Mike, Rob, David, Garts, Sabu, Clay

RB/WR to go from HPPR to FPPR & TE stays at 2/rec: Brian

No changes at all, leave it as is: Ryan, Mark

Non-Voters: Mini

Proposal passes for immediate implementation on a 1-year trial basis

** AFTER FURTHER ANALYSIS, ROB REALIZED THIS WAS A BAD MOVE AND ASKED TO HAVE THIS PROPOSAL REVERSED. WITH ENOUGH VOTES THIS PROPOSAL WAS INDEED REVERSED AND WILL BE DISCUSSED FURTHER AT THE NEXT AOM **

6 – Mike proposes that we limit the IR spots from unlimited to a limit:

Yes, limit to 2 – 3:

Yes, limit to 5: Mike, Garts

Yes, limit to 10: Chad, Brian, Ryan, Mark, Rob, David

Non-Voters: Mini, Clay

Proposal passes for immediate implementation and the IR limit will be 10 during the regular season going forward

7 – Ryan proposed that we move up the schedule to start the playoffs earlier. After a discussion and pointing out that bye weeks should not be a part of playoffs, he changed his mind and rescinded his proposal.

There was no more new business, so the Commissioner closed the floor and proceeded with his Commissioner’s Report.

2026 DFFL3 Commissioner’s Report:

1 – Personal:
Because of some issues that arose last season in multiple leagues (some of it my own fault), fantasy football left a sour taste in my mouth and I almost pulled a Cam and completely walked away from all fantasy football at the end of last season. However, thanks to both of my co-Commissioners in the DFFL Franchise for talking me off the ledge (and also thanks to my wife’s advice), here we sit, still active.

However, I am stating publicly here that I am currently only signing a 2-year contract with the possibility of an extension at the end of those 2 seasons. If there is anyone who wants to take over as Commissioner of the DFFL Franchise, please reach out and I will take you under my wing and teach you all you need to know to properly run these leagues with a lot less effort than I put into them. I completely understand that because of my medical situation, I have way more time to dedicate to fantasy football than the rest of you, but I am at least giving you guys a warning that 2026 & 2027 MAY be the final seasons in all the leagues if no one wants to take them over. We will discuss that more once the dates get closer.

2 – Finances:
The Commissioner advised that all requested prize money was paid out the morning after the completion of the Championship game.
Commissioner paid $15.08 out of his pocket for running the league last year and the pot is now back to $0.00
League fees increasing by $5 this season will likely ensure that there are no more increases in the near future.
If anyone wants a copy of the financial statement, please feel free to ask.

3 – New Announcements:
Rhonda and Fred left the DFFL3
Mini (Micheal Garton, Garts’ brother) returns to the DFFL3 taking over Fred’s team

6 – Miscellaneous:

The trading freeze was lifted at the conclusion of the NFL Super Bowl.

Due to a glitch when the system switched over, the WW will start this week instead of last week. You will have 200 bidding dollars in the offseason. The off season WW runs on Friday mornings, then when it switches to the regular season, it will go back to Thursday mornings for the entirety of our regular season.

Just a reminder that there are no roster limits during the off season.

Thank you to everyone for diligently posting your lineups and submitting your picks for the Supplemental Drafts.

Thanks again to everyone for all your efforts in the 2026 DFFL3 AOM!

The Commissioner then officially closed the 2026 DFFL3 AOM
