A new date has been set for our next indoor get-together.

This upcoming Monday night, April 5 @
If you have not got your steak night tickets yet, this is another chance
to save yourself some money!
It’s been a great off season so far! We’ve already played some indoor
football, secured primary and secondary sponsorship, made a couple of
exceptional signings for some quality new players this year and have lost a
couple of great guys from the roster (Darryl & Jordan). The second year of
the Snipers looks promising as we strive to improve over last year’s
performance.
Here are a couple of new notes, I will try and keep this section updated
more often from now on.

This Thursday night (March 25) at

Annual Snipers Steak Night!
Will be held on Saturday night, April 24 at Glencairn
Western Pizza between 7 – 9 pm. Tickets are $13 each.
If anyone is interested, please either e-mail me, or simply contact any Sniper
player. Also, (I will be bringing this up at the AGM) but for every team that
helps support our steak night, we will do our best to try and support your
fundraisers. If anyone has any further questions, please do not hesitate to
contact Darcman.

Our final loss of the year came against the Blue Devils. Thus effectively ending the first Glencairn
Western Pizza Snipers’ football team’s season. The off season should
prove to be interesting to say the least. See you all in the spring!
After our loss to the Offenders, we have 1 more chance to stay alive in
the 2003 playoffs!!!

Our first playoff game in Snipers’ history is now but a sweet memory!
Snipers 12 - Bandits 8
For all those times we were the better team on the field and still lost,
that was an opportune time to make amends for those losses, by beating a solid
B team! Not to mention it felt pretty good to beat my old team for my own
personal reasons!
Anyway, onwards and upwards, it doesn’t get any easier!

The regular season is over, somewhat thankfully! Our record is not a
fair assessment of the quality of talent that our team possesses. However we
were beat this year doesn’t matter, all that counts is the fact that even
though we lost so many games, our team morale is still high because we know
that we can play much better than our record indicates. Next year will prove
it! However, the playoffs are now upon us, and there’s no better time like the
present to start turning things around. As soon as the playoff schedule is up,
I will post it.

as well as some changes to the refereeing schedule, I’ve also updated the

It does not look like our game time will change on the 24th
I’m still working on getting the rest of our white jerseys here for our
game. Please remember to ALWAYS

Thanks to an observant Sniper, there has been a change in our schedule
that we were not made aware of. It has to do with the Tues. June 24 game.
Please note that it is now being played at RTFI, not optimist as originally
planned. Also, we presently do not have to supply a linesman for that day.
Finally, they may still move the time of the game as we are the only game there
that night, it doesn’t make much sense to start so late and lose light. The
schedule link has been updated already with the change in venue highlighted in
green. I will keep you posted on any further changes.
